As it was decided during the COP21 meetings in Naples, Italy on Dec. 2-5, Turkey is hosting the COP 22 between 7-10 December 2021 in Antalya.
This meeting has vital importance since it is the first meeting that will be held after COVID-19. Outcomes of the meeting will lighten the possible solutions to the litter-free Mediterranean.
During the COP 22 meetings, discussions will be centered on assessing and controlling marine pollution, ensuring sustainable management of natural marine and coastal resources, protecting the marine environment and coastal zones by preventing, reducing, and, to the greatest extent possible, eliminating pollution, protecting natural and cultural heritage, strengthening solidarity among Mediterranean coastal states, and contributing to improved quality of life.
